Q: What is a listing agent?
A: "The listing agent is a realtor that will help you to list your property for the purposes of marketing it. At the end of the day you need to sell your property if you're a seller, and the listing agent or the listing broker is the person who is going to help you to sell that property and negotiate the best terms for your transaction."

CHOOSING A REAL ESTATE AGENT

Q: How does a buyer choose a real estate agent?
A: "A buyer should always choose a real estate agent based on experience, knowledge of the market, and obviously familiarity or a certain level of comfort level with that particular realtor. What should a buyer do? They should ask questions of the realtor. Ask them what their knowledge is of the particular market, and, really, ask them how they
can help that buyer close on the transaction in a holistic way."

ROLE OF A REAL ESTATE AGENT

Q: What is the real estate agent's role in a home sale?
A: "The real estate agent's role in a home sale for the buyer is obviously to help the buyer find a home that is suitable for their needs and also facilitate the process from the negotiations, all the way through the closing. On the seller side, the real estate agent's role is to be able to list the property for the seller, market the property for the seller, negotiate the terms on behalf of the seller, and facilitate the seller's closing or transaction all the way through to the closing."

ROLE OF A BUYER'S REAL ESTATE AGENT

Q: What is the role of the buyer's agent?
A: "The role of the buyer's agent is really to advise the buyer in all aspects of the purchasing of his home. To be able to put the buyer in contact with the proper players or proper pieces to be able to have a successful purchase of their home. For example, looking for the right property, talking to the right lenders, and negotiating the right terms to be able
to satisfy the buyer and the buyers family's needs."
